Barcelona president Joan Laporta is planning to introduce a wage ceiling.
Laporta has decided that signings that join the club after June 30 will be limited in their earnings. The most the club will pay will be €10 million net annually.
Laporta hopes to avoid a repeat of the previous mandate, which saw wages spiraling among first-team players as the club threw themselves into financial problems.
However, bonuses will be considered when it comes to bringing the biggest stars, but the base salary will have a limit from now on and there will be no exceptions, reports Sport.
