Ousmane Dembele has told Barcelona he won’t accept their current new contract offer.
Local reporter Gerard Romero says the Frenchman has now communicated to the club that he will not accept the renewal offer the club have made him under the current conditions.
Dembele doesn’t want to leave in January, either, but for free when his contract expires on June 30. The winger believes he’s among the best players in the world and, as a result, should be paid accordingly.
Dembele wants a deal worth €500m gross across five years, plus €20m for his agent and a €20m signing on fee for himself.
Barça doubt any other club will pay that much to Dembele, even though it’s true there is a lot of interest given he is available for nothing.
