Barcelona captain Sergi Busquets admits they’re underdogs facing Real Madrid in the Supercopa de Espana semifinal.
The two teams meet on Wednesday night in Riyadh.
The Blaugrana captain admits the difficulty of tie that lies ahead due to Los Blancos’ fine form but insists that a derby match is always an even game.
“The difference in LaLiga [between Barcelona and Real Madrid] is how it is, but it is a one-off match and everything is left to play for.
“They enter the game with confidence but we have a chance.”
Since the last Clasico between the pair, where Real Madrid won 2-1 at the Camp Nou, Busquets feels Barcelona have improved
“It’s been a long time but we are physically better,” he said.
“We have to look ahead and try to be faithful to our style and create chances.
“We know we face tough opponents who have good players and a great coach.
“It will be difficult, but we have the confidence and the ambition to be in the final on Sunday.”
Busquets, like coach Xavi, feels that a victory over Madrid would signify a turning point for the team.
“[A win] would give us confidence and get us into a final,” he said.
“We have come here to fight for the title. We are on the right track.
“It has been difficult for us to close out games but you have to be patient.”
