Spurs chief Paratici threatens Chelsea plans for De Ligt

Tottenham have jumped into the battle for Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt.

De Ligt’s agent, Mino Raiola, has declared plans to move the defender away from Juve next year, declaring he is ready “for a new level”.

Barcelona have been linked with De Ligt, but lack the financial power to make any type of serious move for the player.

Instead, Chelsea and Tottenham have been mentioned as potential alternative options for De Ligt and Raiola.

AS says Spurs football chief Fabio Paratici has been in contact with his former club to register their interest, while talks have also been held with Raiola.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are eyeing De Ligt as four of their senior defenders, Toni Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Cesar Azpilicueta and Thiago Silva come off contract in June.
