Barcelona are ready to use Philippe Coutinho in a swap bid for Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Barca are keen to take Aubameyang off the hands of Arsenal, where he has been sacked as captain and frozen out for the past three games.
Sport says with Coutinho a target for Arsenal – and happy for the move to happen – it offers the chance for Barca to discuss a swap deal.
Coutinho was offered to Arsenal chief Edu last week and a deal could be on after manager Mikel Arteta gave his approval.
A swap involving two loan arrangements is now being discussed ahead of the market opening on January 1.
