Former Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has questioned Juventus‘ management and also their Super League ambitions.
Juve are currently battling financial problems and an accountancy investigation.
Rummenigge told RTV38: “Barcelona is there for all to see, but even Juventus‘ latest record has puzzled me.
“You can’t be a Super League because it would turn football into an American sport and it wouldn’t work with European culture. It would cash in more, but where does the money go? To players and agents. I don’t think it’s worth it for the various Messi and Ronaldo to earn 10 million more.
“Costs must be reduced because every year, even at Bayern, we are forced to refinance the players’ wages. I don’t think that if a player earns 6 million a year instead of 8, he becomes poor.”
