Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer told Barcelona coach Xavi to get back in his box during this week’s Champions League clash.
Bayern’s 3-0 win against Barca sent the Catalans into the Europa League.
Sport reports in the second half, and with the game over, Xavi, more out of pride than anything, asked for a yellow card for a Bayern player — ‘yellow card, yellow card,’ he repeated in English.
The words didn’t sit well with the Bayern bench, who did not like Xavi’s attitude. He asked them if it was not a yellow and, following a negative response, an ironic smile appeared on his face.
At the same moment, Robert Lewandowski was looking at him while from far you could hear Neuer shouting: “Oi, you, shut up, shut up.”
The Barça coach ignored that, though, and the situation went no further.
