Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola wants Barcelona midfielder Nico Gonzalez as part of Ferran Torres’ sale.
Barca directors Mateu Alemany and Ferran Reverter were in Manchester last week for transfer talks with City officials.
Mundo Deportivo says during their time in Manchester, the pair had dinner with City manager and former Barca coach Pep Guardiola.
During the meeting, Guardiola assured Alemany and Reverter he was prepared to see Torres sold, but wanted Nico to arrive in the opposite direction.
Nico came close to joining City as a youth teamer when his father, Fran, was coaching with the academy and has remained on the Sky Blues’ agenda ever since.
