Barcelona are working on bringing Carles Puyol back to the club.
Esport3 says all parties are looking for a formula to bring the former Barça captain back to the club.
Puyol wants to return to Camp Nou, but he doesn’t see himself in an institutional role. He wants to be close to the decision makers.
Puyol feels that if he returns he feels he would be useful as a sporting director or a technical director after the departure of Ramon Planes.
Puyol’s position is clear, therefore, but president Joan Laporta and director of football Mateu Alemany will also have to decide what they think is best for the club and the ex-defender.
They don’t feel it’s essential to bring in someone new after Planes’ exit with Alemany and Jordi Cruyff already at the club.
