Al Sadd have announced Xavi will be allowed to leave for Barcelona.
After several days of negotiations over a release from his contract, the Qataris have confirmed Xavi is now leaving to return to the Nou Camp and replace sacked coach Ronald Koeman.
Al Sadd announced this morning:
“Al Sadd has agreed to transfer Xavi to Barça after payment of the release clause stipulated in the contract. We have agreed to cooperate with Barcelona in the future.
“Xavi is an important part of Al-Sadd’s history and we wish him success.”
