Former Liverpool defender Dan Agger has revealed he was blocked from joining Barcelona.
Agger says former Reds manager Brendan Rodgers, now in charge of Leicester City, prevented him from moving to the Nou Camp.
The HB Koge coach told Ekstra Bladet: “I said that if he needed me, I’m open to staying. But if he hesitates, I want to leave, because I wanted to play football. But he said he needed me several times over.
“I went from being captain and vice captain to being fourth choice, something did not feel right quite simply.
“But he did not want to let me go and prevented me from moving to Barça.”
