Barcelona management do not expect Pedri to make the weekend El Clasico against Real Madrid.
The midfielder suffered a thigh injury in action against Champions League opponents Benfica and won’t recover in time for Sunday’s game.
Sport says if pushed, Pedri could play, but management do not want to risk aggravating the injury at this stage in the season.
Next Wednesday’s meeting with Rayo Vallecano is also a doubt for Pedri, though he is expected to be at the training ground on Thursday and Friday.
