Barcelona president Joan Laporta is receiving outside offers to help fund a deal for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.
Haaland is a target for Laporta, despite the club’s much-publicised financial concerns.
Indeed, at his due diligence presentation last week, Barca chief exec Ferran Reverter insisted they’d be capable of making big money signings next summer should their recovery plans remain in place.
One of Laporta’s first actions after his election was to meet with Haaland’s father Alf-Inge and his agent Mino Raiola. The Norway striker features high on Laporta’s shopping list, reports Sport.
And encouraging Laporta in that interest are outside sponsors and potential investors willing to help bankroll a deal for the centre-forward.
Courtesy of a clause in his contract, Haaland can leave Dortmund next summer for €75m.
