Barcelona utility Sergi Roberto admits being jeered by Blaugrana fans is tough to take.
There’s been reports of Roberto being reduced to tears by the hometown jeers.
He told Sport: “I won’t lie to you, that day really got to me. Both the match and the following days. That had never happened and it’s not nice. I have spent my whole career at this club and no one likes these things.
“If it didn’t affect me, it would be a problem. It would mean I don’t care and I do care. Things will get better. There’s a lot of noise that doesn’t help, but we have to stick together and show that the club is strong than ever with the supporters.
“I’m sure we will kick on. That will happen when the results come, as bad results make it all more difficult. I am convinced that personally and for the team things will get better.”
