ASHAMED! Barcelona chiefs still regret Bartomeu rejecting Salah and Mbappe

Former Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu turned down the chance to sign Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah and PSG star Kylian Mbappe, it has been revealed.

Catalonia’s El Nacional reports Roma‘s former sporting director Monchi, who is currently at Sevilla, offered the 29-year-old Salah to Barcelona which was ‘turned down’ by Bartomeu.

The report also suggests Kylian Mbappe was another player the club rejected that summer before he joined PSG from Monaco the following year.

Later in the 2017 transfer window, Barcelona sold Neymar to PSG for a world record fee and opted to reinvest that money on Ousmane Dembele from Borussia Dortmund.

It’s a decision Barcelona are reportedly ‘ashamed of’ given the two players’ consistent form over the last few years.
