Spain coach Enrique won’t hear criticism of Barcelona defender Garcia

Spain coach Luis Enrique won’t hear criticism of Barcelona defender Eric Garcia.

The 20 year old has been criticised after Spain’s World Cup qualifying defeat in Sweden.

“I don’t agree with some criticism, he’s started the season brilliantly,” said Lucho. “He didn’t play much last season, he’s in perfect shape. It’s true that we suffered in transitions but Laporte suffered too. I’m delighted with his performance.”

Sergi Busquets, meanwhile, Spain’s captain, thought similarly.

“When you lose, they always look to give blame. I know much about that. Eric had a great game on his debut for Barca and in the second one too, even though he was sent off. And in this game he had great commitment because of what happened to him. We’re delighted to have him here and at the club.”
