Everton have approached Barcelona with an enquiry about defender Samuel Umtiti.
Barca are desperate to offload the French centre-back.
According to the Daily Express, the Toffees are interested in bringing Umtiti to Goodison Park.
Umtiti, 27, started just seven La Liga games for Barca last season.
Rafa Benitez is looking to bolster his defence before the transfer window closes on August 31.
