Emerson Royal is confident finding a place in Barcelona‘s starting XI.
The former Real Betis fullback made the move this summer and featured in last week’s opening day win at Real Sociedad.
“I know that I will have minutes because I will fight hard to get them,” Emerson told Sport.
“I am delighted. It is a pleasure to be here. The city is very beautiful and different, similar to those in my country. It has a beach and it is very hot. I am very happy with my first few weeks.”
He continued: “It’s a very good dressing room. At Barça there are players with a lot of quality who, in addition, are incredible as people. They make me feel like I’m at home. Everything is very easy for me.”
On Lionel Messi‘s departure for PSG, Emerson added: “It is a pity. We all wanted to play with the best in the world, with the best footballer in the history of Barça. It’s a shame, but we have a very competitive team. Now is the time to be united, together, to achieve our goals.”
