Gerard Pique is willing to renegotiate his current Barcelona contract.
Onze reports the centre-back and president Joan Laporta met during the period of reflection taking place regarding Ronald Koeman‘s future as Barça coach.
Laporta wanted to know Pique’s opinion on the issue and to hear what he thought about the season, especially the final few weeks when Barça ran out of gas, winning just two of their final six games.
They also spoke about Pique’s future in the meeting. The defender knows Barça are suffering financially and is willing to restructure his contract to help the club.
He has a contract until 2024 and could renew his terms so that they’re based on games played.
