Barcelona president Joan Laporta is prepared to see OVER HALF of the first team squad sold this summer.
Sport doesn’t offer names, but reports Laporta believes the dressing room has lost its winning spirit and is in a losing dynamic.
Laporta, helped by Mateo Alemany and Ramon Planes, is planning to bin half the players in the dressing room. He wants changes like in 2003 and 2008 In 2003 there were 7 ins and four outs. In 2008 10 ins and 14 exits!
For now they are hoping to get rid of 10 players, but the objective is 15. That has to take into account the club’s economic situation, which will also make it hard to bring in replacements.
But Laporta does not want to see this team again that he doesn’t feel represents him and is putting all the meat on the barbecue so to speak. The priority is to renew Messi and bring through young players, getting rid of rotten apples.
