Oscar Mingueza is dropping into the Barcelona B squad for the weekend promotion playoff against UCAM Murcia.
Despite his impressive first team campaign, the young defender still qualifies for the B team.
The defender trained on Friday with the first team at the Ciutat Esportiva and immediately received the ‘ok’ from Ronald Koeman to travel to Extremadura and join the ‘B’ squad.
Another of those who was waiting to know if he could also go is Ilaix Moriba, though it appears he’s been held back by Koeman.
The clash with Murcia will be for the first round of playoffs for promotion to the Segunda Division.
