Sport says Chelsea are keen and Barca are encouraging negotiations.
The Catalans wish to set up a swap deal involving Jorginho, 29, in exchange for Pjanic.
However, Chelsea may be reluctant to part with Jorginho given his impact this season. Indeed, the Blues are drawing up a new contract offer for the Italy international’s consideration.
