Barcelona coach Koeman on suspension: This is something personal

Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman has no idea if he will be in the dugout for their clash with Atletico Madrid.

Koeman is currently suspended, though Barca have taken their appeal to a tribunal after it was originally rejected by the RFEF.

The Dutchman said: “It would be important but I don’t know if the Committees will meet. I don’t know if it can be confirmed or not that I can be there. If I can be, fine. If not, like Valencia‘s day, the staff is good enough.

“We have been together for some time and our ideas are the same. You don’t have to go crazy if you can’t be on the bench.”

Koeman added: “Yes, I think it was something personal. Because saying ‘what a character’ in Spanish or ‘what a person’ in English is not insulting. It is not a reason to sanction. So yes, there is something else.”
