Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman feels Lionel Messi is back to his best form.
The Argentine is leading LaLiga Santander’s Pichichi race, scoring most recently to give Barcelona the lead in their loss against Granada on Thursday, and he has been putting in some impressive performances.
“Messi is back to his best,” Koeman told De Telegraaf.
Koeman was also asked about Pep Guardiola‘s success with Manchester City, with the English side set to win another Premier League title and holding a lead in their Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain.
“I’m happy for him,” Koeman said. “All his teams play great football and he’s doing it again with City.
“Although in his time at Barcelona he had an even more successful team. I thought that team couldn’t be better.
“But we also play attractive football with a lot of young guys. We’re doing it, but we’re not there yet.”
