Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman has been handed a two-game touchline ban by the Royal Spanish Football Federation’s (RFEF) Competition Committee.
Koeman was sent to the stands in the second half of Barcelona‘s 2-1 defeat against Granada on Thursday for disrespecting the fourth official.
Referee González Fuertes wrote in his report: “After being warned about his observations, [Koeman] again approached the fourth official saying the following: ‘What a character.'”
It means, pending an appeal, Koeman will have to sit in the stands for Barça’s games against Valencia (Sunday, Mestalla) and Atletico Madrid (May 8, Camp Nou).
