Barcelona president Joan Laporta and coach Ronald Koeman remain at odds over their Bosman move for Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum.
Contrary to claims from the English press, RAC1 says new president Laporta is yet to approve a pre-contract offer to Holland international Wijnaldum.
Koeman has wanted to bring his former Oranje star to the Nou Camp since his appointment last summer and remains hopeful of landing him in June when his Reds contract expires.
However, despite Wijnaldum’s availability, Laporta remains to be convinced.
Barca’s new front office, including sporting director Mateu Alemany, have their own plans to strengthen the midfield – which for the moment do not include Wijnaldum.
