Barcelona president Joan Laporta has told Ronald Koeman he will remain as coach next season.
The pair held a 45-minute meeting on Tuesday at the Camp Nou offices, where Rafa Yuste, the club’s new vice-president, also sat in.
According to TV3, Laporta informed the coach that they will keep him on for next season.
During the talks, Koeman asked Laporta to have the last word when deciding the signings proposed by directors Ramon Planes and Mateu Alemany.
The new president does not rule out making big name signings, although the potential renewal of Lionel Messi‘s contract and the difficult economic situation of the club make it difficult for the arrival of any major additions this summer.
