Joan Laporta accepted the Barcelona presidency yesterday with a speech to high profile members at the Nou Camp.
During the speech, Laporta explained his plans and agenda: to get the Club back on track financially, making the team more competitive and preserving La Masia as the identity of the club with regards to its style of play and its philosophy. Also, Laporta made an open declaration to a watching Lionel Messi that he hopes to convince the captain to sign a new contract and stay.
