Ilaix Moriba was floating after scoring his first goal for Barcelona in victory at Osasuna.
Moriba won’t be forgetting his trip to Pamplona in a hurry. The teenager scored his first senior goal for Barcelona in their 2-0 win over Osasuna in LaLiga Santander.
In fact, his first strike in the first team comes at the same ground where Ansu Fati netted his first Barcelona goal last season.
“I like to shoot,” Ilaix told the media at El Sadar.
“I don’t know how I cut in and shot with my left… thanks to God, it went in.
“I’ll never forget this. I’ll take it to my grave.
“Ansu is like a brother to me and I’ve got lots of love for him.
“I’m chuffed to have scored my first goal in the net that he did.”
The 18-year-old has now made six appearances since being promoted to the first team by Ronald Koeman. He’s hoping to help Barcelona to LaLiga Santander glory.
“Since the first game, Koeman has been telling me to look for goal and that’s why I’ve done,” Ilaix added.
“We never thought the title race was finished.
“It’s tough but we’re going to fight – it’s in our DNA.
“I’ve learned a lot at La Masia. They’ve taught me very well.
“I’ve been very lucky. I want to dedicate my goal to my parents and my family.”
