Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman was delighted with Ilaix Moriba’s performance in victory at Osasuna.
Koeman underlined his youth policy after Moriba became the latest starlet to make an impact in the Barcelona first team.
The midfielder joins Pedri, Ansu Fati, Ronald Araujo, Oscar Mingueza and Riqui Puig in the senior squad and even scored his first goal against Osasuna in Barcelona‘s 2-0 Saturday night win.
“It was a great goal,” Koeman said on Ilaix’s strike.
“Every time he comes into the team, he adds something. He’s good on the ball and is a strong boy physically. He’s pushing to be in the first team more often.
“We’re really proud of being able to bring younger players through the ranks. We do it because they deserve to have opportunities.
“People like Pedri, Ilaix, Riqui, Mingueza and Araujo show they have a big future. As a coach, I’ve always given opportunities to youngsters because they are a club’s future.”
