Ex-Barcelona striker Jordi Cruyff: My father would’ve voted for…

Former Barcelona striker Jordi Cruyff has offered his opinion on the candidate he believes his father would have voted for.

Jordi is the son of former Barca coach and playing great Johan Cruyff.

He told El Larguero: “I think the answer is very clear: Joan Laporta. I am quite clear that I would vote for Laporta. Always in addition, not only now, but also before and tomorrow.

“Laporta favouritism for the elections? Barça and the fans need to be proud, to feel feared. Former players and players all speak well of Laporta and that is not easy. Xavi himself said that Laporta had been the best president he had ever had.

Barcelona fans want to go back to good times. Laporta made bold decisions. People want to feel those feelings of the past again. The banner (at Real Madrid‘s Santiago Bernabeu) was clear.”
