Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman froze out Brazilian goalkeeper Neto for last night’s Copa del Rey victory at Granada.
Neto had been between the posts for previous rounds, but Koeman went with regular No1 Marc-Andre ter Stegen for last night’s 3-5 victory.
Cataluyna Radio says Koeman chose to snub Neto after being left unimpressed by his attitude in recent weeks.
Neto was disappointed not to play in the Supercopa, in which Ter Stegen was a hero in the semifinal against Real Sociedad and also a starter in the final.
The former Juventus goalkeeper also made a transer request this winter market as he had a good offer from Arsenal.
Koeman, however, was adamant that Neto could not leave without a replacement signed and the Brazilian ended up being forced to stay.
It’s suggested a disappointed Neto has dropped his intensity in training over the past fortnight.
