Barcelona midfielder Rique Puig had a furious exchange with ref César Soto Grado before he was booked last night.
Puig was hooked at halftime of last night’s Copa del Rey win at Cornella.
And El Chiringuito has released footage of an exchange between Puig and Soto Grado before his seventh minute yellow card.
Puig shouted at Soto Grado: “You should speak well and with respect”, to which Soto Grado replied: “Don’t yell at me”.
The early yellow card that Riqui saw was key to his early replacement, as coach Ronald Koeman explained later at his press conference. “I wanted to have two open wings and with more depth. That’s why we put Antoine behind Braithwaite and had two wingers.
“Besides, Riqui already had a card.”
