New Andorra coach Eder Sarabia admits rowing with Barcelona‘s players last season.
Sarabia, formerly Quique Setien’s assistant at Barcelona, has admitted that an argument took place in Barcelona‘s dressing room at Celta Vigo last season.
Sarabia has been appointed as FC Andorra’s new head coach by club owner Gerard Pique, and he referred to the incident during his presentation before the media.
“One thing is clear: if a person like Gerard [Pique], who was in that dressing room and is leading this project, has chosen me to lead the team, I think that dispels any rumours that might be out there or misunderstood,” said Sarabia.
“There are moments of tension, and we’re not going to deny that there are arguments in the dressing room.
“In Vigo what happened happened, but they are things that aren’t going anywhere, that are understood to be a part of the job, with the high demands, but there’s no problem.”
The Basque coach emphasised that his time at Barcelona had many positives and was an experience he will cherish.
“I’ve learnt with time to always take the positives and focus on what I can control,” added Sarabia.
“I’m delighted and grateful to have had that experience, to coach those incredible players and no one can take that away from me.”
