Former Barcelona B coach Eusebio Sacristan has been placed in an induced coma.
The move was made after he underwent emergency surgery on Thursday following a domestic fall.
El Norte de Castilla says he was admitted to the hospital at dawn on Thursday, December 30, after falling down the stairs of a bar, where he was accompanied by several friends, and hitting his head, leaving him unconscious.
He was transferred to the Hospital Clinico de Valladolid, where he was admitted to the ICU. A clot was detected in his head and he underwent surgery after falling into a coma.
After several hours in the operating room, according to sources close to the family, consulted by El Mundo de CyL, the intervention has gone well and without any setback, although his prognosis remains reserved: he will remain under observation “for at least 72 hours”.
