Former Barcelona assistant coach Eder Sarabia admits he hasn’t spoken with Lionel Messi since leaving the club.
Messi infamously snubbed Sarabia during one team huddle towards the end of last season.
Sarabia told Marca: “I have not spoken with Messi, but I have spoken with some others. I have been sent myself messages. I recently sent messages to a player because he played a good game against Ferencvaros. At Barça we were with players who have won everything and have been the best.
“From a lower and more humble profile, we wanted to contribute everything we knew, our work and our knowledge.”
On the 8-2 Champions League humiliation by Bayern Munich, Sarabia added: “As everyone knows, in that game it was evident that they are the consequences of many years in which things have not been done well. But we are very calm and proud of the work we did.”
