Inter Milan midfielder Arturo Vidal: No other option but to leave Barcelona

Inter Milan midfielder Arturo Vidal admits he had to leave Barcelona over the summer.

He said he made a lot of friends but events meant he thought it was better to look for a new home.

“I was comfortable at Barca, there was a good group there, with team-mates who became more than friends,” said Vidal in an interview with Corriere dello Sport.

“When one is happy, you want to stay where you are. Then things changed and I took the decision to come to Inter.”

On the classic comparison between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, Vidal had no doubts.

“There’s no match between CR7 and Messi, Leo is an alien,” he said.
