Alaves striker Lucas Perez has confirmed contact with Barcelona last season.
Perez was in talks with Barca about signing as a replacement for the injured Luis Suarez, before they settled on Leganes striker Martin Braithwaite.
He recalled: “Yes, Barça got in touch with my agent in winter.
“In the end the Braithwaite proposal came out. If it had materialised, it would have been good.”
Alaves meet Barca on Saturday at the Mendizorroza.
