Former Real Madrid coach Vicente del Bosque can’t call the El Clasico this weekend against Barcelona.
At a football function, Del Bosque was asked how he thought the game would go.
“The two sides are coming off losses, but that doesn’t shape whether or not it will be a food match,” Del Bosque said. “It’s hard to know who is in better shape, but we have to hope that it’s a good representation of Spanish football.”
Ruben de la Red also commented, explaining how important it is to be mentally prepared for El Clasico, even more so than being ready physically.
“The team who are the best prepared, particularly mentally, have the best chance,” De la Red said. “El Clasico is usually very close and it’s often defined by very fine details.”
