However, RAC1 reports negotiations remain at a roadblock due to a difference in valuations.
Barca’s latest offer is for €10m up front plus a further €5m in bonuses, but City are demanding a flat €20m to sell.
Barca could wait until January to secure Garcia to a pre-contract ahead of taking him on a Bosman deal next summer. However, the Catalans would prefer an immediate transfer.
City manager Pep Guardiola has publicly declared Garcia wishes to return to Barca before tonight’s deadline.
