Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman has encouraged Rafinha to leave.
The midfielder is keen on moving to England – with Everton and Manchester City interested – and Koeman has urged him to depart.
He explained, “For players who do not see many possibilities, it is better to look for a way out. I know Rafinha has been on loan and there is a point where you can’t be loaned every season.
“We have a lot of midfielders, we have to find the best for the team. These are technical decisions.”
But the situation could be different for striker Martin Braithwaite.
Koeman continued: “Braithwaite? Yes that’s right, we want to have two or three players per position. We have made Leo a nine, we can play Griezmann, but they are different players. Martin is more like a nine and he will have his chances, but we want one more.”
