LIVE: Brighton vs Manchester United

1′ KICK-OFF! Man Utd get us up and running at the Amex Stadium. The visitors are seeking their first points of the season, while Brighton are looking to make it back-to-back league victories.

The two teams are making their way onto the pitch and kick-off is now just a couple of minutes away. This game will be played behind closed doors, as will every other Premier League fixture for the foreseeable future.

United show three changes from their opening game defeat against Crystal Palace. Wan-Bissaka is in for Fosu-Mensah at right-back, while Matic is preferred to McTominay alongside Pogba in the engine room, meaning only a place on the bench for Van de Beek. The other alteration comes in attack as Greenwood replaces Daniel James, who is not in the squad today.

Potter has made one change to Brighton’s starting line-up on the back of their victory against Newcastle, with Lallana coming into the side in place of the suspended Yves Bissouma. Lallana hobbled off against Chelsea on his Albion debut but was brought on as a late substitute last time out in the league. Young midfielder Molumby is on the bench and could make his Premier League debut today.

Subs: Jesse Lingard, Donny van de Beek, Scott McTominay, Dean Henderson, Fred, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Eric Bailly.

MAN UTD XI (4-2-3-1): David de Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire (c), Luke Shaw; Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic; Mason Greenwood, Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford; Anthony Martial.

Subs: Bernardo, Jason Steele, Pascal Gross, Jayson Molumby, Joel Veltman, Alireza Jahanbakhsh, Dan Burn.

BRIGHTON XI (3-4-2-1): Mat Ryan; Ben White, Lewis Dunk (c), Adam Webster; Tariq Lamptey, Adam Lallana, Steven Alzate, Solly March; Leandro Trossard, Neal Maupay; Aaron Connolly.

Brighton and Hove Albion have won three of their last four home league meetings with Manchester United, although they did lose this exact fixture 3-0 last season. United have won their last three encounters with Brighton overall – only against Leicester City (four) are they on a longer winning run against of the current top-flight sides.

United beat Luton Town 3-0 on Tuesday to set up that meeting with Brighton, but they suffered a disappointing 3-1 loss to Crystal Palace in their first Premier League game of the season. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are now under a bit of pressure to get their first win on the board here at a ground they have not always had their own way at.

Brighton cruised to a 3-0 victory at Newcastle United last weekend to get off the mark with their first points of the campaign, having lost 3-1 to Chelsea in their opening fixture here. Graham Potter’s men were also in action in midweek, seeing off Preston North End 2-0 in the EFL Cup to set up a last-16 tie with today’s opponents in four days’ time.
