The Dutchman is being linked with a move to Barcelona, and he is on the last year of his contract with the Reds.
According to The Independent, the two will talk about the immediate future, and that will determine whether Liverpool accept a bid from Barcelona from the player.
The 29-year-old will be back at Melwood after international duty with Holland.
Wijnaldum has been a key member for the Reds in the past two years, but he is 29 and the club may want to move him on for a fee and sign a replacement.
If the midfielder does leave, Liverpool could sign Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich as a replacement.
