Barcelona begin Liverpool talks after agreeing Wijnaldum terms

Barcelona are working hard to complete a deal for Gini Wijnaldum from Liverpool.

The Dutch midfielder, who is out of contract next summer, has agreed personal terms with Barca, per Diario SPORT.

Talks between the two clubs are at an advanced stage, with the Reds wanting between 15 and 20 million euros.

Liverpool are likely to use money raised from the sale to sign Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich.

Both players are central midfielders, and Wijnaldum leaving would make room for Thigao in the Reds squad.

Ronald Koeman used Wijnaldum consistently during his time in charge of the Netherlands national team.
