Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman is facing an early clash with president Josep Maria Bartomeu.
Koeman only took charge of Barca last week after the sacking of Quique Setien.
Mundo Deportivo says Koeman was tempted to return with the promise of full control of transfers. However, there is already a disagreement between the coach and his president.
Koeman wants to bring Lyon ace Memphis Depay to Barca as a replacement for Luis Suarez, but Bartomeu is insisting they continue their pursuit of Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.
Barca and Inter have been negotiating over a fee for Lautaro for several months, but despite protracted talks, Bartomeu is demanding the Argentine remain their top attacking target this summer.
