Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu insists they do not intend to sell any of their youngsters.
The president of the Catalan side also explained that all of them are part of the club’s long-term project.
“[Francisco Trincao] is not for sale,” Bartomeu told BeIN Sports.
“Neither are Pedri, Ansu [Fati], [Marc-Andre] Ter Stegen, Riqui Puig, or [Ronald] Araujo.
“Those young players are not for sale.
“We are creating a new generation for the future.”
Bartomeu went on to reiterate his confidence in the team’s coach Quique Setien who has been at the receiving end of criticism lately.
“[Setien] has a contract until next season and the next campaign will be different,” Bartomeu added.
“Young players like Riqui, Ansu and Araujo will be promoted permanently from Barcelona B.
“[Other youngsters such as] Trincao, Pedri will come along with [Miralem] Pjanic.
“[Setien] is the person on whom we place our trust.”
