Barcelona have no plans to install Patrick Kluivert as coach for the second-leg of their Champions League round 16 clash with Napoli.
Sport reports the option has not even been contemplated.
Kluivert has coached the Curacao national team and worked as an assistant to Louis van Gaal with Holland. Since 2014 he hasn’t sat on any bench. He’s been PSG‘s technical director and Barca’s youth academy chief.
“It’s a joke in bad taste,” a club source stated.
The story claimed that the dressing room wanted Kluivert in charge. But the captains don’t know anything about this. The idea at the moment is that coach Quique Setien continues, but Barca are weighing up options like Laurent Blanc.
