Barcelona board still debating over selling Man Utd target Ansu Fati

Barcelona‘s board remains split over the future of Ansu Fati.

The teenage attacker remains a target for Manchester United, which have had offers of €100m and €150m turned down by Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu.

ABC says the club’s finances are a concern for several directors and there’s an active debate inside the boardroom about encouraging United to try again for Fasu.

Barca are facing a €70m shortfall in their accounts due to the coronavirus impact and a failure to raise funds from sales.

However, while talks have dragged out over the transfers of Jean-Clair Todibo, Philippe Coutinho, Ivan Rakitic and Rafinha, Barca know they can cover their debts with the sale of Fati.

The attacker’s contract currently carries a buyout clause of €170m.
