Barcelona director Guillermo Amor defended coach Quique Setien after yesterday’s draw with Atletico Madrid.
Setien is underfire today after putting Antoine Griezmann on against his old club in the 91st minute. Post-match, Setien denied he had “humiliated” the France attacker.
Amor reacted, saying: “How do I interpret Griezmann’s entry into the game? I understand that the Barcelona team is big and very strong and that the coach deemed it appropriate to enter at the last moment. These are technical decisions.
“The coach made this decision and there is nothing more to say. All footballers always want more playing time. It’s Barça, a high quality team, and you either play or not play.
“What is clear is that you can never relax.”
