Moggi (again) says Juventus making error swapping Pjanic for Barcelona’s ‘slow’ Arthur

Former Juventus sports chief Luciano Moggi has reaffirmed they’re making a mistake allowing Miralem Pjanic to leave for Barcelona.

The two clubs have agreed terms over a swap involving Pjanic and Barca midfielder Arthur Melo, with Juve to cough up €10m cash to cover the difference.

“Arthur? I prefer Pjanic,” remarked Moggi.

“I don’t like to say if Juve does well or not. If Juve signs him, it means he does well. There is also an important capital gain for Juventus. Obviously he is a player that Sarri has asked for.

“For me, Pjanic serves more than Arthur on a technical level. Arthur is good but slow. I do not think he will come to Juve to play as a starter, he does not improve the level of what there is right now.”
